KW Phase 3: Review

Quality review for knowledge work deliverables -- checks completeness, clarity, accuracy, and goal alignment.

Command: /kw-3-review [path]

When to use

After deliverables are complete from Phase 2. This review is tailored for knowledge work -- no code-specific checks like security scanning or performance analysis.

What happens

  1. Context loading -- Reads BRIEF.md for original goals, the plan from Phase 1 for intended deliverables and success criteria, and journal entries for decision context.
  2. Five-dimension review -- Evaluates deliverables against:
Dimension What it checks
Completeness All deliverables created, no placeholders, all sections filled
Clarity Language understandable, structure aids comprehension, key points findable
Accuracy Facts verified, sources cited, no contradictions, information current
Audience fit Appropriate for target audience, right detail level, actionable
Goal alignment Addresses original goals, meets success criteria, delivers expected value
  1. Spec compliance (when SpecKit active) -- Validates deliverables against the active specs/[N]-feature/spec.md requirements (see .design-state.yaml) and .specify/memory/constitution.md principles.
  2. Quality gate decision -- PASS (meets standards) or NEEDS WORK (issues to fix).

Output

  • Review report with pass/fail for each dimension
  • Specific issues listed with suggestions for fixing
  • Quality gate decision
